Assetic Mobility User Roles
Objective: Gain an understanding of how Assetic's User Roles affect Mobility users.
Introduction
Users of Assetic Mobility are assigned to Assetic application access roles by an Assetic administrator. This article outlines the typical roles required for the various functions provided by Assetic Mobility. Assetic Mobility will only present functionality to the logged in user based on their assigned roles. The Roles and Work Groups Overview articles details Assetic Roles and Asset Work Groups.
User Roles
The following table lists the roles required for various functions in Assetic Mobility.
Module |
Mobility Function |
Assetic Role |
Work Order | Completing Assigned Work Orders | Mnt Technician |
Work Order | Creating PREP or TCOMP Work Orders | Mnt Technician |
Work Order | Managing or Assigning or Reassigning Work Orders | Mnt Supervisor |
Work Requests | Creating Work Requests | Mnt Requestor |
Assessments | Completing Assigned Assessments | Assessment Manager |
Assessments | Creating Assessments (Against Assets) | Assessment Manager |
Assets | Creating Assets and capturing Spatial data | Asset Officer |
Roles can be combined. For example, the roles 'Asset Officer' and 'Mnt Technician' will let the user create an Asset and then create a Work Order against it.
Access to viewing Assets and Documents is shared across all roles, so no specific role is required.
Asset Work Groups can be used to limit the scope of a user's access to Assets.
